A standardized test is a test that requires all individuals taking the test to answer the same questions or answer a selection of questions from a common bank of questions in the same method. The scoring Is recorded in a standard and consistent manner, making it easier to compare the performance of the individuals who take the test. Standardized tests are mainly targeted and associated with large-scale tests administered to a large population of students or test takes. These tests can consist of multiple-choice test questions, true and false questions, short answer questions, essay questions, and a mix of the types of questions types. Standardized tests can be completed on paper, but most are completed on a technological device.
